As we near the next Republican debate tonight, we can look
to social media to see the candidates prepping both themselves and the viewers
for what is sure to be another interesting night. On Instagram we see how
candidates can use their account to through up a picture of how they are
spending their time getting ready, along with a clever caption reminding their
followers when the debate is and where to view it. In addition to serving as a
reminder for their followers; it also works as a platform for their followers
to remind candidates what their main concerns are.
Here we see Governor Walker post about his pre-debate ritual
of going for a run, Dr. Carson speaking with the press, and Senator Rubio and
Governor Christie doing a walk through for the debate.
Overall it creates
another way for candidates and constituents to connect and communicate.
I solely believe that instagram takes politics to a whole new level. The ability to take pictures of what you are doing and when you are doing it added with the fact that anyone can view your post is beyond me. These photos above go to show that even politicians have found a way to reach a larger audience. Nice post!
